What is a storyboard?

A collection of snapshots form a storyboard. A storyboard that is created within an existing storyboard is called a nested storyboard.

Note: Every new Inventor Publisher document opens with a default storyboard that contains one default snapshot.

Storyboard Properties

• Storyboard Name - Each new storyboard has a default name “Storyboard”. Double-click the name to change it.
• Storyboard Visibility - Controls storyboard visibility as part of a presentation.
• Storyboard Description - Captures storyboard notes in the description area.
• Storyboard Duration - The total time in seconds of all the snapshot durations and transition durations within the storyboard.

How to create a storyboard?

A new Storyboard can be created at the document level or within another storyboard. To create a new storyboard use one of the following methods:

• Home tabStoryboard panelNew Storyboard

• Right-click on the breadcrumb level in which you want to create a new Storyboard and select New Storyboard.

You can also create a new storyboard by copying an existing one. Use the following steps to copy a storyboard:

1. In the Storyboard Editor, right-click the storyboard, and select Copy.
2. Activate the document or Storyboard into which you want to paste the storyboard.
3. Right-click Storyboard Editor and select Paste.

The name of the new storyboard is determined by the default settings. You can double-click the name to change it.
