Inventor Publisher maintains associativity with the source model files, and changes to these source files can be promoted to the Publisher document. If the location of the source changes, you can easily change the source path. If appropriate, you can replace a source file with a different source file.
Update Inserted Data
There are two methods to check if the inserted file is in sync with the source.
- Automatic - On every Publisher document open, any Inserted file present is checked to make sure that they are in sync with the source. Out of date data has an icon
in the root node of the browser. Clicking on the icon updates the data.
- Manual - Select any Inserted data root node in the browser and check status. Out of date data has an icon
in the root node of the browser. Clicking on the icon updates the data.
Command Access:
Right Mouse Button on file root node in the browser
Source Files
Check File Status
Note: The workflow below for updating Inventor data is also applied to the other two file types.
