Publish to Web and Mobile

Autodesk Inventor Publisher documents can be published online to your Autodesk 360 account. The file is published in .INSTRUCTION format, and can be viewed in Autodesk 360 viewer or on iPhone, iPad, iPod, and Android devices.

Alternatively, you can publish the mobile output locally in a mobile format (.ipm). You can send the .ipm file as an email attachment, or upload it to Autodesk 360 for easy access and sharing. Files in .ipm format can be viewed on any iPhone, iPad, iPod, or Android devices with the Autodesk Inventor Publisher Mobile Viewer application (available for free download on the Apple App Store and Android Market).

Tip: Insert web addresses to custom authored properties. Web and Mobile output displays the property values as clickable hyperlinks.

Command Access:

Select what to publish:

• Document - Publish all storyboards that the document contains.
• Current Storyboard - Publish the current storyboard.
• Current Snapshot - Publish the current snapshot.

Advanced

Target Location:

• Title - Enter a title for the published document.
• Description - Enter description of the output file.
• Thumbnail - Thumbnail is automatically retrieved from the model.
• Check the mobile performance - Opens the Mobile Performance dialog box that shows performance of output for iPads, iPhones, and Android devices.
• Save to Autodesk 360 - Publishes the document to your Autodesk 360 account. The document can be viewed in Autodesk 360 viewer or on a mobile device.
• Save Locally - Saves the published file to a local specified location. You can send the local .ipm file as an email attachment, or upload it to Autodesk 360, and then view it on a mobile device.

Create an Autodesk 360 Account

When publishing to a mobile device you can save files online. To save online you must have an Autodesk 360 account. To create an Autodesk 360 account complete the following steps:

1. Go to https://accounts.autodesk.com/ . If you are publishing to Mobile for the first time you are automatically prompted to create an account when you attempt to publish online.

2. In the Sign in to your account window, click Need an Autodesk ID.
3. Enter your personal, contact, and account information to generate your account.
4. Click Create My Autodesk Account to create the account.
