Publish area defines the boundary, resolution, and print size of a published output file. Publish area is ON by default on a new document and the border is defined by the pixel size. What you see in this area is what you get in the publish output.
Note: Publish area can be altered per snapshot.
Publish Area Options
Pixel Size Presets - Select the pixel size from a preset list to define the publish area.
Pixel Size Custom - Manually define width and height.
Print Size Preset - Print size is the size to print after a publish to a certain format. The publish area pixel size is automatically set based on the print size.
Print Size Custom - Manually define width and height.
Resolution - Sets the pixel per inch value for the set publish area.
Visibility - Turns on/off the publish area border on the canvas.
When you change the size of the current publish area, a dashed box gives you a preview of the new size.
Publish Formats using Publish Area
Publish area can be selected in most of the allowed publish formats in Inventor Publisher. Certain formats have the publish area option in the preset list in the publish dialog. Some other formats require it as a tag entry in the template.
Publish Area supported formats
AVI - Available in the Video Resolution preset list.
WMV - Available in the Video Resolution preset list.
MP4 - Available in the Video Resolution preset list.
Flash - Available in the Video Resolution preset list.
Image - Available in the Image Resolution preset list.
Note: 3D PDF, Vector, Mobile, and DWF currently do not use publish area option.
