The system log (syslog) file is usually located in /var/log.
The system log may be called messages, or syslog, or system.log depending on your distribution. You may need elevated privileges to read this file.
Note: Depending on your syslog implementation, you or your system administrator may be able to have Autodesk Moldflow Insight events written to their own file by logging to the LOCAL0 through LOCAL7 syslog facilities or by pattern matching. Consult the implementation manual for your syslog for instructions on how to configure this.
Tip: Use the
tail command to follow the end of the log file as it grows.
