In this task, you interpret four different circuit results.
Ensure that only the Mold Tetras, and Channel layers are selected and all other layers have been deselected.
Rotate, pan, and zoom as necessary to see the circuit results being displayed.
Click the Temperature, circuit coolant (averaged) result in the study tasks list.
The increase in temperature is best when less than 2-3 C. The core is slightly more than the guideline.
Click the Circuit Reynolds Number result.
The results are exactly 10,000 Reynolds number because this value was used as input for calculating flow rate.
Click the Circuit flow rate result.
The flow rate required to achieve 10,000 Reynolds number is just over 3 l/min. This flow rate is not high, so the mold is not likely to be flow rate limited.
Click the Temperature, mold-circuit interface (averaged) result.
This result is best when less more than 5C above the coolant inlet. There are places in the core that is more than this desired value.
