Packing time step size control

In the midplane/dual domain flow solver in previous releases, the time step size during packing analyses is fixed at 0.25 seconds. In specific cases for thin parts or for highly conductive materials, this time step size has been found to be too large and can lead to inaccurate results, most noticeably in a banding of the volumetric shrinkage results. A new option for packing time step control has been added to the Convergence tab of the solver parameters dialog.

While the default time step size remains at 0.25 seconds, you now have the option to select Finer time steps, in which case a stability criteria based on the part thickness and thermal diffusivity is used to check if smaller time steps are required.
Note: Using these finer time steps will increase the computation time
