Synopsis

skinBindCtx( string , [about=string], [axis=string], [colorRamp=string], [currentInfluence=int], [displayInactiveMode=int], [displayNormalized=boolean], [exists=boolean], [falloffCurve=string], [history=boolean], [image1=string], [image2=string], [image3=string], [name=string], [symmetry=boolean], [tolerance=float])

Note: Strings representing object names and arguments must be separated by commas. This is not depicted in the synopsis.

skinBindCtx is undoable, queryable, and editable.

This command creates a tool that can be used to edit volumes from an interactive bind.

Return value

stringThe name of the context created

In query mode, return type is based on queried flag.

Flags

about, axis, colorRamp, currentInfluence, displayInactiveMode, displayNormalized, exists, falloffCurve, history, image1, image2, image3, name, symmetry, tolerance
Long name (short name) Argument types Properties
about(a) string createqueryedit
The space in which the axis should be mirrored. Valid values are: "world" and "object".
axis(ax) string createqueryedit
The mirror axis. Valid values are: "x","y", and "z".
colorRamp(cr) string createqueryedit
Set the values on the color ramp used to display the weight values.
currentInfluence(ci) int createqueryedit
Set the index of the current influence or volume to be adjusted by the manipulator.
displayInactiveMode(di) int createqueryedit
Determines the display mode for drawing volumes that are not selected, in particular which volume cages if any are displayed. 0 - None 1 - Nearby volumes 2 - All volumes
displayNormalized(dn) boolean createqueryedit
Display raw select weights (false) or finalized normalized weights (true).
exists(ex) boolean create
Returns true or false depending upon whether the specified object exists. Other flags are ignored.
falloffCurve(fc) string createqueryedit
Set the values on the falloff curve control.
history(ch) boolean create
If this is a tool command, turn the construction history on for the tool in question.
image1(i1) string createqueryedit
First of three possible icons representing the tool associated with the context.
image2(i2) string createqueryedit
Second of three possible icons representing the tool associated with the context.
image3(i3) string createqueryedit
Third of three possible icons representing the tool associated with the context.
name(n) string create
If this is a tool command, name the tool appropriately.
symmetry(s) boolean createqueryedit
Controls whether or not the tool operates in symmetric (mirrored) mode.
tolerance(t) float createqueryedit
The tolerance setting for determining whether another influence is symmetric to the the current influence.
