With Stingray and
Maya installed on the same system, you can install DCCLink and PhysX plug-ins that provide additional functionality to support the creation of game assets.
Install the DCC plug-in
To enable the
Stingray menu and
File > Send to Stingray in
Maya, install the DCC Link plug-in included with Stingray.
- Locate the plug-in installer
StingrayDCCLink<version>.msi
within your Stingray install directory. (By default:
\Program Files\Autodesk\Stingray\<*version*>\extras.)
- Double-click
StingrayDCCLink<version>.msi
and click
Install Now.
The plug-in installer runs, and a 'Success' message displays when the install is complete.
- Start
Maya.
- Open the
Plug-in Manager (Windows > Settings/Preferences > Plug-in Manager) and set the
stingray.mll plug-in to load (or
Autoload).
In
Maya, verify that the
Stingray menu now displays in the main menu bar, and the
File menu contains a
Send to Stingray option.
Install the PhysX plug-in
To enable the
PhysX menu and shelf in
Maya, install the appropriate PhysX plug-in included with Stingray.
- Locate the appropriate PhysX plug-in for your DCC within the Stingray install directory. By default:
\Program Files\Autodesk\Stingray\<version>\extras.
- Double-click the
NVIDIA_PhysX_For_Autodesk_<DCC>_<version>.msi, and follow the instructions in the NVIDIA installer.
- After the plug-in install finishes, start
Maya.
- Open the
Plug-in Manager (Windows > Settings/Preferences > Plug-in Manager) and set the
physx.mll plug-in to load (or
Autoload).
In
Maya, verify that the
PhysX menu now displays in the main menu bar, and the
PhsyX shelf displays above the viewport.
