Help

Find Menu

Loads the Find a Menu Item dialog box so that you can enter a string to find the location of a particular menu item. Find Menu works only on the main menu items.

Maya Help

Loads the Maya Help in your default web browser. You can also press F1 anywhere in the interface to load the Help.

There are two versions of the Maya Help: the default online version, and an offline version that you can download and install locally. Both versions appear in your web browser and give you complete access to the Maya documentation. See Using Maya Help for more information.

What’s New

List of What's New	Launches the What's New in Maya page, which introduces the new features added to Maya in recent releases.
Highlight What's New	Toggles the highlight in the interface of features that are new in this version. This is on by default. What's New > Highlight What's New > opens the Interface preferences.

1-Minute Startup Movies

Takes you to the Maya 1-Minute Startup Movies web page with short movies that demonstrate skills you need to use in Maya. The movies are available in English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese.

Maya Learning Channel

Launches the Maya Learning Channel on YouTube, providing trusted content authored by Autodesk. The channel streams videos on various workflows, features, and interoperability topics.

Maya Tutorials	Launches the Maya Tutorials page on Autodesk.com where you can find an exclusive free introductory video learning series from Digital-Tutors.
30-day Tutorial Trials	Launches the Free Learning Resources web page which gives you access to exclusive 30-day trials for Autodesk customers with professional learning content providers.

MEL Command Reference	Loads an index of Maya Embedded Language (MEL) commands and scripts on your web browser.
Python Command Reference	Loads an index of Python commands and scripts on your web browser.
Node and Attribute Reference	Loads an index of Maya nodes and attributes on your web browser.

AREA Product Community	Launches the AREA web site. The AREA is a free community portal focused on artists and developers using Autodesk 3D products.
AREA Discussion Forums	Launches the AREA Discussion Forums page from which you can browse and search posts about Autodesk products.
Facebook	Launches the Maya Facebook page.

Maya Resources and Tools

Autodesk DirectConnect Help	Loads the a webpage where you can download the DirectConnect Help help. Autodesk DirectConnect is a data translator that imports CAD data into Maya.
Download Bonus Tools	Launches the Bonus Tools page of the AREA website (www.autodesk.com/maya-bonustools). The Bonus Tools are a free collection of useful Maya scripts and plug-ins.
Download Vegetation	Launches the Autodesk Seek web page. This page provides a collection of vegetation scene files that you can download.

Autodesk Account	Launches the Autodesk Account web site, where you can track and manage your Autodesk products, licensing, services, and benefits.
Release Note Updates	Launches the Maya Release Notes page on the Autodesk Knowledge Network where you can find the latest release notes for this version of Maya.
Support Center	Launches the Autodesk Maya Support & Learning Overview page for the Autodesk Knowledge Network where you can access links to various levels of support available.

Report a Problem	Launches the Report a Bug web site where you can report an issue with Maya.
Small Annoying Things to Fix	Launches the Small Annoying Things to fix in Maya forum web page. This forum lets you identify small things that bother you when you're working in Maya.
Ideas for Maya	Launches the Ideas for Maya forum web page, which lets you suggest and vote for ideas to improve Maya.
Desktop Analytics Program	When using Maya, you automatically allow Maya to collect desktop analytics data. The first time you start the application, a dialog box displays to notify you of this. To disable data collection, select Desktop Analytics and disable the check box in the dialog.
