Shading |
Select the display method to be used when creating a solid fill plot for an elemental result. - Nodal averaged
- Sets the value at each node as the average of all the elements connected to the node.
- Gouraud shading
- Uses gradients to display sharp edges between elements as smooth edges. This gives a more realistic result.
- This shading method shows triangles as being filled with a gradient resulting from interpolation of the three vertices' color.
|
Cutting plane |
Displays optional plot properties associated with the cutting plane. - Cut with capping
- Displays the part in its entirety behind the selected cutting plane.
If un-checked only the slice of the model through which the cutting plane passes will be displayed.
Note: This option is only available for 3D results.

Color |
Select the color display mode to be used. - Single color
- Displays the results with one color only.
- Smooth
- Displays the results on the model with gradual color transitions rather than discrete color changes for individual result ranges.
- Banded
- Displays the results on the model as bands of color, where each color represents a particular range of values.
- Number of colors
- Specify the number of colors for the banded contour plot to be divided into.
- From blue to red
- Sets the color scale in the result plot to go from blue (minimum value) to red (maximum value)
- From red to blue
- Sets the color scale in the result plot to go from red (minimum value) to blue (maximum value).
