Create Sprue dialog

Set the drop point coordinates, the sprue properties, and location on the grid.

To access this dialog, click Sprue (Geometry tab > Feed System panel > Sprue).

Note: The Runner tools are not available for a Part Only mold type.

The drop point (sprue location) is the place for the melted plastic to enter the mold.

You can select the drop point by clicking on the display and entering distances in the X and Y boxes, or by clicking the Middle of the mold button.

The Sprue properties group allows you to set the default length, size and shape of the sprue to be modeled for your part.

Note: If you use this tool to change the sprue properties before you create the sprue, it will have the new properties. The properties of an existing sprue will not change unless you select the sprue, right-click on it, select Properties and change the sprue properties in the dialog that appears.
