Redefining nominal maximum deflection when viewing warpage results

When the Warp analysis has completed, the Warp Indicator results use a plane, reference points, and a Nominal Maximum Deflection value, to evaluate the part against a maximum out-of-plane deflection.

Note: Deflection results do not use a Nominal Maximum Deflection value as the actual deflection can be determined using the Examine tool (Results tab > Examine panel > Examine).

When viewing the warpage results you may need to redefine the nominal maximum deflection value.

To redefine the nominal maximum deflection value, apply the following steps.

  1. Click Warpage Constraints (Results tab > Results panel > Warpage Constraints).
  2. Click Restore default value to define the default maximum deflection, or enter a specific value in the Nominal max. deflection text box.
  3. Click Apply to recalculate the Warp results. Any defined Anchor Plane or Best Fit plane will still be utilized. A best fit transformation will be used to display the warpage if no plane is defined.
