** ERROR 308302 ** Gas concentration value is not specified or not appropriate.

Please check the value and run the analysis again.

Explanation

Whether you have selected the Fitted Classical Nucleation model or the Constant nucleation density model, and regardless of the mesh type, you are required to enter the initial gas concentration. The initial gas concentration is the amount of gas dissolved in the plastic, as the single phase mixture is injected into the mold. This information can either be entered as the %weight of gas or the initial gas saturation pressure.

The amount of gas dissolved in the plastic is required to calculate the bubble radius.

Resolution

Enter the amount of gas dissolved in the plastic at the start of the cycle in the Process Settings Wizard:
  1. Click (Home tab > Molding Process Setup panel > Process Settings).
  2. Click Next until you reach the Microcellular Injection Molding Settings page and enter the amount of foaming gas dissolved in the plastic, as it is injected into the mold.
  3. Click Next, if necessary, to progress to the last page of the Process Settings Wizard.
  4. Click Finish to close the dialog.
