Performing a Part Only analysis

Performing a Part-only analysis prior to modelling the mold cavity will give you a better idea of how best to distribute and orient your part(s) and runner system.

First prepare the part:

1. Select (Home tab > Mold Type panel > Part Only).
2. Click (Home tab > Molding Process Setup panel > Injection Location), to set an injection location on your model. Cross-hairs will appear. Click on the cavity to locate the injection position(s).
3. Click (Home tab > Molding Process Setup panel > Analysis Wizard), and then select an analysis sequence from the list. The analysis preconditions are displayed in the Analysis information pane.
4. Select Fill, and then click Next.
5. If required, assign an alternative material, or click Next to use the default material.
6. If required, assign alternative Processing Conditions.
7. Click Finish to save and close the Analysis Wizard.
8. Click (Home tab > Analysis panel > Start Analysis) to perform the analysis.
