Explanation

Whether you have selected the Fitted Classical Nucleation model or the Constant nucleation density model, you are required to enter the initial amount of gas. The initial amount of gas is the amount of gas dissolved in the plastic, as the single phase mixture is injected into the mold. This information can either be entered either as the %weight of gas, or as the initial gas saturation pressure. You have selected to enter the initial gas saturation pressure, but either you have neglected to enter a value, or the value you have entered is outside of the range.

Resolution

Enter the initial gas saturation pressure in the Process Settings Wizard:

1. Click (Home tab > Molding Process Setup panel > Process Settings).
2. Click Next until you reach the Microcellular Injection Molding Settings page and enter the amount of foaming gas dissolved in the plastic, as it is injected into the mold.
3. Click Next, if necessary, to progress to the last page of the Process Settings Wizard.
4. Click Finish to close the dialog.
