Solver message 308300

Message Text

** WARNING 308300 ** Microcellular molding material properties are not specified, or not correct.

Continuing analysis with default properties.

Explanation

When setting up a microcellular molding simulation, you can use default data for the supercritical fluid (SFC) or foaming material, or you can enter original data, specific to your own molding setup. If you enter your own data, it is important that the data is accurate to ensure accurate simulation results. A range of values is provided, in some cases, to help limit unlikely data entries. All the data entry boxes require values.

Resolution

If you have the data,
  1. Click (Home tab > Molding Process Setup panel > Process Settings).
  2. Click Advanced options. You may need to click Next and advance to the next page, if it is not present on page 1.
  3. Click Edit associated with the Molding material.
  4. Select the Microcellular Properties tab, then click Edit properties.
  5. Correct, or enter the missing data.
  6. Click OK one or more times to close the dialogs, then click Next, if necessary, to progress to the last page of the Process Settings Wizard.
  7. Click Finish to close the dialog.
If you do not have the data, you can select either N2 or CO2 from the default materials.
  1. Click (Home tab > Molding Process Setup panel > Process Settings).
  2. Click Advanced options. You may need to click Next and advance to the next page, if it is not present on page 1.
  3. Click Edit associated with the Molding material.
  4. Select the Microcellular Properties tab, then select the microcellular foaming gas from the drop-down menu.
  5. Click OK one or more times to close the dialogs, then click Next, if necessary, to progress to the last page of the Process Settings Wizard.
  6. Click Finish to close the dialog.
