User Interface
To interact with the program, commands and options are located within the ribbon at the top of the User Interface.
Import and Export
Different file formats can be imported for analysis, and data can be exported in different formats for import into other programs. This section provides general guidelines for working with the supported file formats so that data is translated appropriately.
Part manipulation
When you have optimized the part design, you can design the mold. Tools are available to help you create a single cavity mold, a family mold or a multicavity mold.
Analysis sequences
The analysis sequence is the sequence of analyses that you want to run. The analysis sequences that are available depend on the analysis technology, or mesh type used, and the molding process that you have selected.
Materials and databases
There is a vast range of materials that can be used to produce a plastic part, each contributing different qualities to the final product. To achieve the most accurate analysis results, it is important that the material you select for the simulation is similar to the actual material you have chosen for the part.
Launching an analysis The usual method of launching an analysis is from the Home tab of the navigation ribbon.
Results
The results of each analysis that is run are listed in the Study Tasks pane. A Result Summary file, which provides information about the analysis inputs, is also generated for each analysis.
Reports
The Report Generation function enables you to convey information about the model, and the results of the analysis, to others.
Troubleshooting guide
Molding problems fall into three main categories; modeling, machine settings, and materials. The effects of these choices is far-reaching, ranging from visual defects such as sink marks, so physical defects such as warpage and even financial implications resulting from excessive cycle times or waste from short shots.

These sources provide comprehensive information about refereed journals, books, articles, and theses related to plastic injection molding technologies.
Error and warning messages Solver messages contain warnings and errors that are output when a part is meshed or analyzed. An Explanation and a Resolution is provided here for each numbered solver message.
