** ERROR 304518 ** Number of beam elements at valve gate (XXX) has exceeded maximum (100) allowed. Remesh the valve gate with larger mesh size and rerun analysis.
Explanation
The gate channel, through which the pin will travel, should have a fine mesh, with typically 10-50 resultant beam elements, to achieve more accurate predictions for shear rate, shear heating, juncture loss, etc. The gate channel (boxed in the image below) usually has the same length as "Maximum pin stroke". Depending on the channel length, a mesh density of 1-2 mm can be used to mesh the channel, as long as the resulting number of beam elements for the channel is below the 100-element limit.
