Compact Project dialog

Reduce the amount of disk space used by the current project by deleting restart files in the project folder.

To access this dialog, click Application button , and then click Compact (Project > Compact).

You can use restart files to reuse previously run steps in an analysis sequence if they have not been invalidated by changes made to the following settings:

solver parameters
process settings

For example, if you have previously run a Fill+Pack analysis sequence and change the packing profile settings, then the filling phase results can be reused and only the packing phase needs to be reanalyzed if the restart files are available. This capability is lost if the restart files have been deleted.

Note: The amount of space that can be saved by deleting the restart files is displayed on the Compact Project dialog.

Tip: Compacting a project is a good idea before archiving it to ZIP format.
