Matrix properties dialog

This dialog is used to specify the mechanical properties of the matrix (that is, of the polymer without fibers/filler present) for a composite material.

The mechanical properties of the composite material (matrix + fibers/filler) are specified on the Mechanical Properties tab and the mechanical properties of the filler are specified on the Filler Properties tab.

If your material has anisotropic or isotropic matrix data, select View matrix properties to display this dialog.

If you do not use composite properties, the Mori-Tanaka micro-mechanics model will be used by default when your material has anisotropic matrix properties, and when you have selected to use the Automatic micro-mechanics model in the solver parameters. For materials that have isotropic matrix properties or composite properties, the Tandon-Weng micro-mechanics model is used by default.

Note: Using the Mori-Tanaka micro-mechanics model with anisotropic LCP materials will improve the accuracy of analysis results.
