Importing a Rhino model using Autodesk Moldflow Design Link

You can import Rhino model files using Autodesk Moldflow Design Link.

Before you import a model, first create a new project (or open an existing project) in which to store the model.

If the model is a solid you can use the Direct Import using Autodesk Moldflow Design Link option to import it as a solid CAD geometry.

  1. Click Import (Home tab > Import panel > Import).
  2. Navigate to the folder where your model is located and select it.
  3. Click Open.
  4. If the model is a solid,
    1. Select the Direct Import using Autodesk Moldflow Design Link option to import it as a solid CAD geometry
    2. Click OK.
  5. If the model cannot be imported as a solid,
    1. Select Process using Autodesk Moldflow Design Link to translate the model.
    2. Click Advanced. The Advanced Import Options dialog appears.
    3. Select the Translate surfaces option.
    4. Click OK.
The model appears inside the Project View pane.
