Selecting a foaming agent

The foaming agent is typically a supercritical fluid, such as nitrogen (N₂) or carbon dioxide (CO₂).

The database contains entries for nitrogen (N₂) and carbon dioxide (CO₂) for you to select. Alternatively, you can select a custom material with data that you enter yourself.

1. Click (Home tab > Molding Process Setup panel > Process Settings).
2. Click Next until you reach the Microcellular Injection Molding Settings page.
3. In the Microcellular foaming gas section, select the foaming gas you want from the drop down list.
4. Click Finish when you have completed your selection.
