This dialog is used to select the AVI compressor (codec) that will be used when an animation is created either using 
() or the Report Layout page of the Report Generation Wizard.
To access this dialog, click 
, then click Options, select the Reports tab, and then click Set AVI Options in the Animation settings section of the dialog.
Some compressors allow you to change their compression quality using the slider provided, and further configure settings by providing specific compressor dialogs, although this is not a feature of all compressors.
General Settings
| Compressor type | Select which compressor to use for producing AVI movies. AVI's use a specific codec (compressed) format contained within an application extension called a codec (coder/decoder). These can be compressed or completely uncompressed with any one of hundreds of codecs. |
| Compression Quality | Changes the compression quality of the AVI movie. A lower quality results in a smaller file size, a higher quality results in a larger file size. |
| Configure... | Allows you to configure the selected compressor, (the codec). Although compressors may be configured and effect the final AVI output format, each configuration dialog is codec specific and independent. The configuration dialogs may or may not have help provided by the compressor software. |
