Induction Coil (3D) time with target temperature dialog

This dialog is used when setting up for a rapid heating and cooling analysis, using induction heating as the heat source.

To access this dialog, click on an induction coil element, then click (Boundary Conditions tab > Properties panel > Edit). Select Time with Target Temperature as the Induction coil control, then click Specify.

Widget Explanation
Switch off time

Enter the time, following injection, at which the heater should be turned off.

Switch on time

Enter the time, following injection, at which the heater should be turned on.

Temperature control
This section of the dialog refers to the temperature at which the heater should be maintained, and where the temperature measurement is taking place.
  • Target temperature - Enter the temperature at which the mold should be maintained
  • Thermocouple temperature - Enter the ID of the thermocouple node, at which the temperature measurement is taking place.
Cycle control

If the mold has not reached the target temperature, you can choose to extend either the mold open or the mold close time.
