Rotational Force

If Type is set to Rotational Force, then the dialog will look as shown below.

Rotational forces are inertial forces. They are not applied to geometry. Instead, they act on the mesh mass properties. Mass properties must be defined or the force will not act on the body.

You can select a geometry point or vertex or a node as the origin of rotation. You also have the option to select a defined geometric axis or define the components of the revolutionary axis. Often, the acceleration axis and the velocity axis are not in the same direction. When this is the case, two different rotational forces need to be defined in order to accommodate this requirement.

When fully defined, the rotational force will appear in the lower right corner of the graphics display window. V indicates Velocity, and A indicates Acceleration about the axis.
