View the Energy Analytical Model Using Design Review

As an alternative to examining the energy analytical model in Revit, you can use Autodesk Design Review to see a visualization of it.

Before performing this procedure, do the following:

• If Design Review is not already installed on the local computer, install it. The software is available for free download from www.autodesk.com.
• Generate an energy analysis of a conceptual design and/or building elements.

To view the energy analytical model in Design Review

1. Click Analyze tabEnergy Analysis panel (Results & Compare).
2. In the Results and Compare dialog, select the desired energy analysis.
3. Click OpenDesign Review.

Design Review opens and displays the 3D energy analytical model that was used for the analysis. It shows defined surfaces and spaces.

In Design Review, you can do the following:

• Use the ViewCube and tools on the Canvas toolbar to manipulate the model to inspect it for irregularities.
  
• Use the Model palette to expand the list of surfaces or spaces, and click an object in the list to highlight it in the canvas. Then view its properties on the Object Properties palette.
• Click the Help button or press F1 for more information on how to use Design Review.
