Install Site Designer

Install the Site Designer extension to make it available in the Revit software.

To be able to download and install the extension, you must be an Autodesk Desktop or Maintenance subscription customer for a supported Revit product or suite, or have an Autodesk Education account.

To install Site Designer from Autodesk Exchange

  1. Exit Revit.
  2. Go to the Site Designer page on Autodesk Exchange.
  3. If needed, click Please Sign in First, and sign into your Autodesk account.

    Autodesk checks your status. If you are authorized for the extension, the label on the Please Sign in First button changes to Download.

  4. Click the blue Download button to download the installation file.
  5. After the download completes, click or double-click the file to start the installation process.
  6. Follow the prompts.

To install Site Designer from your Autodesk Account page (for Revit 2015 only)

  1. Go to accounts.autodesk.com, and sign into your Autodesk account.
  2. At the top of the page, click Management.
  3. In the left pane under Quick Links, click Product Enhancements.
  4. In the list of product enhancements and updates, locate Autodesk Revit Site Designer Extension for Revit, and click its link.
    Note: If the extension is not listed, you may have already downloaded it, or your account does not have access to it. Contact Support for help.
  5. Click the link under Download.
  6. After the download completes, click or double-click the file to start the installation process.
  7. Follow the prompts.

When you start Revit, the Site Designer tab displays between the Manage tab and the Modify tab.
