Modify the Cut Mark for Stairs

Modify cut mark type properties to customize the annotation.

You can modify the existing cut mark type properties, or duplicate the type to create a new cut mark type, and change the specifications as required. For examples of cut mark representation, see Symbolic Representation for Stairs.

1. Select the stair in the drawing area.
2. On the Properties palette, click (Edit Type).
3. In the Type Properties dialog (for the stair type), under Graphics, for Cut Mark Type, click the value, and click the browse button.
4. In the Type Properties dialog (for the cut mark):
   • modify the properties for the existing type, or
   • click Duplicate, enter a name for the new type, and modify the properties.
5. Click OK to close the Type Properties dialog for the cut mark type.
6. Click OK to close the Type Properties dialog for the stair type.
