What is CFD?

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is a simulation technique that mathematically simulates fluid flow and heat transfer.

What is Autodesk® CFD?

Autodesk® CFD software turns your 3D CAD workstation into a fully interactive flow bench, thermal test rig, and wind tunnel. Your 3D assemblies become associative, zero-cost prototypes revealing critical engineering information not available from physical tests. Make a design change to your model and see the same change immediately in Autodesk® CFD.

Automate the process by applying settings directly in the CAD model and associating CAD model designs to designs in the Autodesk® CFD Study.

Autodesk® CFD can be used throughout the design process:

• In the Concept Phase, use Autodesk® CFD to try new ideas, study trends, and determine how your ideas behave in the real world. Use it to understand the implications of the concept before committing design resources.
• In the Development Phase, use Autodesk® CFD to study the effects of design changes and to arrive at a design that delivers the desired performance.
• For the Marketing Phase, use Autodesk® CFD to create 2D and 3D images and videos that show the merits of your design.
