With the Local Solve option, it is possible to select between running your simulations on the local workstation or on the cloud.
To toggle between cloud and local solving in CFD Flex, select either CLOUD or LOCAL from the Solver Computer menu on the Solve dialog Control tab.
- Select CLOUD to run your simulations in the cloud.
- Select LOCAL to run the simulation on your local computer. An Internet connection is required to verify your Autodesk® contract level. Your Autodesk® contract must contain the Local Solve entitlement. (Check with your contract manager for details.)
- Note that all simulation data is kept on the local computer; none is transferred to the cloud.
- You can change the order of the options in the Solver Computer menu. By default, LOCAL precedes CLOUD. To change the order so CLOUD is the first entry, open the Solver Computers dialog from the Simulation panel drop-down menu, select CLOUD, and click Move Up.
