Define the Damping Ratio

1. Click the Damping Ratios tab.
2. Click (Insert Row) to add another row to the Damping Ratio table.
3. Type 0 in the first row of the Frequency (Hz) column.
   • Press Tab and type 0.01 in the first row of the Damping Ratio column.
4. Type 30 in the second row of the Frequency (Hz) column.
   • Press Tab and type 0.01 in the second row of the Damping Ratio column.

   A constant damping ratio of 0.01 applies to the results of all excitations from zero to 30 Hz. The three user-specified excitation frequencies and the first five natural frequencies all fall within this range.

5. Click Apply to save the settings.
