Detailing Analysis Zebra

Zebra Analysis

The zebra stripe reflection changes as you rotate and zoom the model. Zebra stripes are typically used to emphasize the appearance of reflections. For most models, it is helpful to change the stripe orientation and density after you change the view.

The curves show the changes in a surface.

Stripes at tangent edges line up.

Stripes at sharp edges do not line up.

Body
Select the bodies to analyze.
Direction
Set to vertical or horizontal stripes.
Repeats
Controls the number of stripes displayed.
Lock Strips
Freezes the stripes on the body.
Opacity
Controls the transparency of the analysis applied to the bodies.
High Quality
Increases the display quality of the stripes. High quality has better display but can affect performance.

Tips

Zebra analysis can be left on while modifying your design for real time feedback or toggled on/off for periodic analysis checks.

The boundary is not tangent if the stripe edges do not align.

The boundary is tangent if the edges align but contain a sharp angle.

The boundary is curvature continuous if the stipe edges are smooth throughout.
