Alloy wheel example
- Spokes with some depressions
- Aim: only front part as model
Strategy
- First define the circular holes and depressions with face rings
- This makes sure they are accurate
- Build a simplified shape of the spoke with faces
- Try to have as few star points as possible
Steps
- Create circles from cylinders, then extrude.
- Adjust shape for depression.
Only half a spoke is needed.
- Add faces.
- Mirror to have a complete spoke.
- Deform with the Lattice tool.
- Shape.
- Apply 5-axis symmetry.
