Difficulties with controlling the shape
- The faces are supposed to match the curves
- But they are too organic
Strategy I
- There are areas with low and with high curvature
-
If built in NURBS they would be primary surfaces and fillets
-
When building the faces place an edge at the transitions from low to high curvature
-
Place additional edges in the middle of the low curvature areas
Steps
- Create polygon face.
- Uncrease.
- Adjust the points to match.
- Extrude outer edge inwards.
- Delete outer polygon.
Strategy II
- If the radii are smaller we need additional edges to have enough control.
Steps
- Create polygon face with additional points.
- Adjust to match the shape.
