To Manage Material Catalog Categories, Items, and Sub-items

Material items and sub-items are organized by category such as anchor, guy, or transformer. You can add and remove categories, items, and sub-items as needed.

1. Click Configuration tabMaterials panelMaterial Catalog.
2. Do any of the following operations:
   • To add a category, click Add Category. Click the new category and provide a name.

     To remove a category, click the category and then click Remove Category.

   • To add items to a category, click the category name and then click Add Item.

     To remove an item, click the item and then click Remove Item.

   • To add sub-items, click the item to which to add sub-items. Click Add Sub-item. Click either Add From Catalog Item or click Create New Catalog Item. Create New Catalog Item creates a new item in the sub-item table as well as in the item table in the current category.

     If you click Add From Catalog Item, the sub-items table becomes editable. Navigate the Category list to locate sub-items to add to the item. For example, open the Part category and click Bracket. Drag and drop items to the sub-item table or press CTRL + A to add the selected item to the sub-item table. Click Submit Changes. The sub-items are saved with the item.

     To remove a sub-item, click the sub-item and click Remove Sub-Item.

   • To manage the display of columns in the item and sub-item areas, click Select Columns To Display.
