From the command line, controls settings for display of the command line suggestion list for commands, and system variables.

Summary

The command line suggestion list provides a quick way to access commands, and system variables such as blocks by typing part of the name on the command line. Settings include which items are displayed, their order, the delay before the list expands and how much help the program provides as you type.

List of Prompts

The following prompts are displayed.

Autocomplete

    Specifies whether the complete command or system variable is automatically filled in on the command line as you enter it.

  • Automatically complete a command as you type? Enter y (yes) or n (no).
Autocorrect

Specifies whether the command line suggestion list provides suggestions based on misspellings you have made in the past. The suggestions list is updated over time to include words that you repeatedly misspell.

  • Automatically correct a mistake as you type? Enter y (yes) or n (no).
System variables

Specifies whether system variables are displayed on the command line suggestion list.

  • Search system variables as you type? Enter y (yes) or n (no).
Midstring
(Available only when AutoComplete is on) Specifies whether to list commands and system variables that don't just start with, but also contain, the specified letters.
  • Enable mid-string search? Enter y (yes) or n (no).
Delay
  • Specify the delay time in seconds.Controls the amount of time, in seconds, that passes before the command line suggestion list is displayed. Enter a time in milliseconds.
