Review the Analysis Parameters

The analysis type – Natural Frequency (Modal) – was defined when the model was created. We now review the analysis parameters.

  1. Right-click the Analysis Type heading in the browser (tree view) and select Edit Analysis Parameters. The Analysis Parameters dialog box displays. The following parameters are defined by default:
    • Five (5) frequencies will be calculated by default.
    • The lower cutoff frequency is 0 cycles/second. No low-frequency modes are filtered out. If a nonzero value is entered, any modes below the specified frequency are excluded from the results
    • The upper cutoff frequency is 0 cycles/second. Here, a setting of zero means that no high-frequency modes are filtered out. If a nonzero value is entered, any modes above the specified frequency are excluded from the results, even if the requested number of modes has not yet been reached.

No changes are required because these settings are acceptable for this analysis.

  2. Click OK.
