Selection preview

This new feature allows you to preview elements and their description before you actually select them.

You can also draw a selection window on your model to highlight the elements that will be included in the final selection.

Enhanced visualization of items identified by the model verification

The Calculation Messages dialog allows you to identify and locate errors in the model easily.

Simply click a line in the Calculation Messages dialog to highlight the corresponding problem in the view.

The rest of the model appears faded to facilitate the visualization of the important area.

Solid Modeler settings moved to the Job Preferences dialog

The solid modeler settings, which were located in the Preferences - View parameters dialog, have been moved to the Job Preferences - Work Parameters dialog.

Note: The Use display in OPEN GL technology option has been removed as it was obsolete.

New arrangement for the New Section and Materials dialogs

The New Section and Materials dialogs were rearranged in order to facilitate the material selection.

New Section dialog

The Section type and Gamma angle options have been moved to the top of the New Section dialog.

Once a type of section has been selected, the Material menu updates to display the available materials for the selected type.

For example, if the selected section type is Steel, then the Material menu contains steel grades only.

The main advantage of this new dialog arrangement is the possibility to select a material directly from the New Section dialog.

Note: If you want to work with American timbers, select More Timbers from the Material list. This opens the American Timber NDS dialog.

Materials dialog

The materials are now displayed as tabs in the Material dialog, and each tab contains the list of grades for the selected material only.

The Nodal Mass dialog is now limited to global directions

The global direction rotations by angle have been removed from the Nodal Mass dialog. From now on, the nodal mass direction is defined by global directions only.

Update of Russian seismic code SNIP II-7-81

The newest revision of the Russian seismic code "Construction in seismic regions SNIP II-7-81" has been implemented.

The parameters of this spectral seismic analysis are available in the Russian code SP 14.13330.2014 - Parameters dialog.
