Autodesk Point Cloud Shader

The Autodesk Point Cloud shader enables using materials other than the default Autodesk Point Cloud material with the Point Cloud object type.

Typically you use this map when enabling a point-cloud object to respond to scene lighting. To see how to do this, follow this procedure.

Interface

Color Intensity rollout

Intensify Multiplier
Specifies the overall brightness of the point-cloud object. Lower values produce a darker surface, while higher values produce a brighter surface. Default=1.0.
Note: The results of this setting appear in rendered output only, not in the viewports.
Ramp Shader
Specifies the map for use with ramp-type display options such as Elevation Ramp. This is typically a Gradient Ramp map.
For best results, copy the map as an instance from the point-cloud object's Color Channel group to this control.
Use Color Channel as
The method of coloring the point-cloud data in the viewports and in rendered output. For best results, use the same setting as the point-cloud object's Color Channel group. For details, see Color Channel.
