Use the Game Exporter utility to efficiently export your game models and animations clips in FBX file format.
Procedures
To export game models as an FBX file:
- Open the Game Exporter.
- Select the Model tab.
- From the Export Set list, select what you want to export.
- Select the Geometry, Miscellaneous, and Coordinate System and Media settings.
- To access a complete list of export settings in the FBX Export dialog, click Advanced Settings.
Note: Any changes made in the FBX Export dialog will sync with the Game Exporter.
- To view the file after export, select View file in FBX Review after export in the Path group.
- In the Path group, select where the file exports and nomenclature.
- Click Export.
To export game animations as an FBX file:
- Open the Game Exporter.
- Select the Animation Clips tab.
- From the Export Set list, select what you want to export.
- In the Animation Clips group, click Add New Clip.
- Enter a clip name and define the Start and End frames.
- To preview the animation, click Play.
Note: You can change the clip length you are previewing by updating the Start and End frames and clicking Set Playback Range to Clip.
- Repeat steps 5-7 to enter as many animation clips as desired.
- Select the animation clips you want to export by selecting Toggle Export of this Clip.
- Select the Clip Settings and Coordinate System and Media settings.
- To access a complete list of export settings in the FBX Export dialog, click Advanced Settings.
Note: Any changes made in the FBX Export dialog will sync with the Game Exporter.
- To view the file after export, select View file in FBX Review after export in the Path group.
- In the Path Group, select where the file exports and nomenclature.
- Click Export.
