Request Output of Solution Variables

Identify the solution variables unique to Helius PFA.

Helius PFA calculates a number of specialized state variables that define the constituent average stress and strain fields and the damage state of the composite material. These state variables are stored by Abaqus at each individual integration point within the finite element model. To examine these state variables in Abaqus/Viewer, the Abaqus input file must explicitly identify the state variables that will be written in the Abaqus output file. This request is made via the data lines of the *ELEMENT OUTPUT keyword statement. Specific usage and formatting of the *ELEMENT OUTPUT keyword statement are discussed later (Use Abaqus/CAE to Create Input Files and Use Text Editor to Convert Abaqus Input Files). For now, it should be understood that the *DEPVAR and *ELEMENT OUTPUT keywords allow you to request which solution dependent state variables should be available for post-processing. Appendix C and Appendix D contain a detailed description of each of the MCT state variables for composite and cohesive materials.
