New Features and Enhancements
- Element Independence -
Advanced Material Exchange has expanded the list of supported elements for Abaqus and ANSYS. We have eliminated many of the previous element type requirements allowing you to use nearly any type of structural element. Click
here for a complete list of supported elements.
- Improved Nonlinear Material Characterization - We have made multiple improvements to the nonlinear material characterization scheme used by
Advanced Material Exchange. Now you may directly input raw stress-strain data (either in .csv format or by copy-paste) without the need to clean the data. The only requirement is that you have at least 15 data points for each temperature or strain rate environment. The new characterization routine will account for any data scatter, stiffening, or decreasing stress in the data and adjust as necessary to produce a better curve fit than previous versions of the software. All of this allows for greater accuracy during the structural simulation.
- Coefficients of Thermal Expansion for Linear Elastic Material Model -
Advanced Material Exchange now supports coefficients of thermal expansion for the linear elastic material model with fiber-filled plastics. Previously, all CTE's for a fiber-filled plastic with the linear elastic material model were set to zero. With the added support in this release, you can perform a thermal simulation with both the linear elastic and elastic-plastic material models.
