Set a beam clearance

This command allows you to define the desired gap between two beams. The beams are automatically offset.

The tool is useful for the design of trusses.

To access the command

Features tool palette:

Command line: _AstM9CommExecuteExternalCode BeamClearance

To offset a beam with a defined distance

1. On the Features tool palette: Click .
2. Select the main beam and press <Enter>.
3. Select the second beam and press <Enter>.
4. Select the beam to offset and press <Enter>.
5. On the command line, enter the gap value and press <Enter>.

• The beam is moved with the defined distance.
