Create an element contour

With this tool, a plate is processed by a beam or by another plate. There are two possibilities.

Exact cross section	Casing cross section

To access the command

Features tool palette:

Command line: _AstM4PlateElementContourNotch

To create an element contour

1. Select the type of processing you require with the switch on the Objects tab, Switch panel.

   Button	Function
   	Exact cross section
   	Casing section

2. Features tool palette: Click .
3. Select a plate to modify.
4. Select an element (i.e. beam or another plate) with which to process the plate.

• The plate is processed. The properties dialog box appears.
