Connection groups provide a way to link several connections together so that if one changes, all others change and continue to match.
In a connection group one connection is the master and the other connections in the group are slaves and must always match the master. Any changes to the master connection are immediately applied to all slave connections.
You can group connections only when the geometry and the position of the connected elements is the same with the master connection. When this condition is not fulfilled, a warning message is displayed. The connection can be created separately from the group or part of the group, but in this case, it is marked as different.
The master connection is used as a template for other connections in new locations.
The connection between the master and the slaves is made through the name that the master connection receives, on the first page of the properties dialog box. The slave connections receive the same name automatically.
To change the properties of connections in a group, the master connection must be modified.
