Create a weld point

Weld points establish a connection between objects (e.g. between beams and plates) and contain not only the weld properties but also the logical connection between connected structural parts.

Weld points are displayed as crosses in the model.

To access the command

Ribbon: Objects > Connection objects:

Command line: _AstM4WeldSeam POINT

To create a weld point

1. Objects tab, Connection objects panel: Click .
2. Select the elements to connect and press <Enter>.
3. Define the center point of the weld to insert.

• The weld point is inserted.

The properties dialog box appears where you can define the weld information.
