Save Connection Settings to Library for later use
To avoid setting many parameters every time you create the same connection, it is possible to save preferred configurations in the
Library
.
Every time a connection is created, Advance Steel searches if the same combination of elements section class and size is already in the
Library
. If it finds a match it will apply the settings stored against that entry in the Library. This way you do not have to go through setting many parameters every time you place the connection.
- If there is more than one possible match in the Library for the current connection, the first match from the table is used.
- If no match is found in the Library, a dialog box displays a warning message: "Template values not found. Take defaults of the connection".
Note:
- There is no link between the connection parameters and the
Library
. You may change the settings in the library, without affecting the other already created connections .
- "Copy by template" and "Copy by template, multiple" do not use the connection library; these commands copy the parameters of the connection to be copied.
Tip:
To turn off the message dialog box, change the corresponding default in the
Management tools
:
Defaults
>
General
>
Message box when template values not found.
