Create Tapered beams

The current user coordinate system (UCS) determines the position of the sections' main axes (working line): the beam web runs in the Z direction of the UCS, (i.e., the 'top' of the section is in the Z direction).

How to access the command

Ribbon: Objects > Beams:

Command line: _AstM4CrConByVb TaperedBeam

How to create a tapered beam

1. Select a suitable UCS.
2. On the Objects tab, Beams panel: Click .
3. Specify the start point of the beam system axis.
4. Spec

   The compound profile is created.

   ify the end point of the beam system axis.

• The compound profile is created.

The properties dialog box appears where you can modify the properties.

On the Section tab define the height of the start section and the height of the end section.
