You can shorten the axes of an axis group by cutting them at other objects. These objects can be other grids as well as AutoCAD® objects (e.g. lines, circles, poly lines etc). The single axes are shortened at the selected end. You may select several other objects as boundary objects. In this case, you can adjust the single axes between them if necessary.
To access the command
Ribbon: Objects > Grid:
Command line: _AstM4CommGridTrimm
To trim axes
- On the
Objects
tab,
Grid
panel: Click .
- Select the boundary object and press <Enter>.
- Click the axis to be shortened at the desired end and press <Enter>.
- The selected axis is shortened at the selected end.
Note: You can shorten the axes one by one. Press <Enter> after selecting each single axis. The shortening is immediately visible.
- The selected axis is shortened at the selected end.
- Press <Enter> to finish.
